When I realized...

Today is the day that it really sank in.. I am WAY too big for my liking. Ten months ago (roughly) I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy. His name is Mason. He has big blue eyes and blond hair. I had a relatively easy pregnancy. I started out at 135 and ended at 174 lbs. Really not that bad for a normal healthy pregnancy. Near the end of my pregnancy Mason was measuring small. His estimated weight was 4 lbs at 37 weeks of gestation. I was terrified. I had gained all this weight and only 4 lbs went to this perfect baby! I went into labor about 6 days later and had my son two weeks early on April 1st.  He weighed 6lbs and was 19.75 inches long. Perfectly healthy. I lost about 15 lbs within a month of having Mason. Awesome! Go me. Then I went back to work and started eating out at every meal. "I want to be able to wear a bikini again. I'll start working out when June rolls around." June came and went and I still hadn't lost any weight. Fast forward 8 months and I step on the scale in a joking matter and it was like a slap in the face. I weighed 168. I weighed almost exactly the same amount as I had when I gave birth. I forgot to mention I am only 21 years old. I work full time, go to school full time, and am a full time mother. I decided right then I would change everything. A week later I got engaged to the most supportive and amaizng person ever. We set a date and the planning started. (7.9.11) A month later and I am down to 164.8. This isn't good enough for me. I am just now getting the motivation to really get my butt in shape. I just ordered the 30 Day Shred from Jillian Michaels and I am thrilled to get it. My friend and I are doing this together. We are going to do cardio in the morning together, eat a balanced diet (1200-1500 calories a day) and I am going to do the 30 Day Shred in the evenings. I am going to go in small strides. I ordered my wedding dress on Saturday and I try it on for my 1st fitting the first week of April. That is also the week of Mason's 1st Birthday. By April 1st I want to be down to 154 and atleast 1 dress size. By the start of June I want to be down 25 lbs and at least 2 dress sizes. This will be prime time summer and all of the bridal and bachelorette parties will be starting. I want to feel confident and I want to be healthy. I will do a weekly weigh in on Monday mornings. I will weigh myself again tomorrow morning to get an accurate measurement. I also plan on getting a clothing tape measure to get accurate measure of my waist, legs, and arms. Thanks for the support!
